Show your appreciation to the women of Brookside during Women-Owned Weekend (WOW), October 22nd through 24th. Many women-owned businesses in the historic Brookside Shops are celebrating a variety of ways throughout the weekend. From specials to pop-ups featuring other women-owned businesses, to giveaways, and fundraisers for charities that support women, the weekend will be about featuring and honoring the many successful, hardworking, innovative women-owned businesses who are also inspiring and supporting the next generation of women. The 2021 Brookside Sip & Shop has been canceled. In light of ongoing COVID restrictions and existing regulations limiting other outdoor alternatives we are canceling the annual event for the second year. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope you’ll join us in 2022 when we hope to be back and better than ever. Meanwhile please continue to support the many outstanding merchants in the Brookside Shops and enjoy our other events including Women Owned Weekend, celebrating women-owned small businesses in Brookside October 22-24, 2021. The show goes on - a new date, but the same great show! The 2021 Art Annual is Friday, September 17th through Sunday, September 19th. Typically Kansas City’s first outdoor art show of the year, the Brookside Art Annual was rescheduled to allow further response to COVID-19. The Brookside Business Association and Brookside CID are excited to host the 35th Brookside Art Annual which has become a Kansas City tradition and means so much to our community, our businesses, and the artists who come from across the nation.
