Save the date for Brookside's favorite family event focused on fun and the St. Patrick’s holiday. Each year, 100 entries entertain thousands during the parade. For entries, the parade is a great way to have fun and showcase their organization or business while connecting with attendees.

Justin, owner of Jalapeno’s Brookside, 6318 Brookside Plaza, embodies the spirit of community, tradition, and celebration that makes this event so special. “Being named Mr. Irish is an incredible honor—not just for me, but for my family. This parade is all about tradition, and I love that my kids get to experience it in such a special way,” said Justin. “My kids think it’s awesome for mom and dad get to be honored in the parade.”

As the Executive Producer and Host of KCUR’s Up to Date talk show, as well as a Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), Steve has earned a reputation for his commitment to the community, thoughtful dialogue, and dedication to uncovering important issues and has regularly featured Brookside business experts and the history of Brookside. His role as Grand Marshal is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service. Congratulations, Steve!
