St. Patrick's Warm-Up Parade

2019 St. Pats Parade

The 39th Annual Brookside St. Patrick's Warm-Up Parade is a wrap!

Each year the Brookside Business Association and Community Improvement District sponsor the Brookside St. Patrick’s Warm-Up Parade - a fun, family-oriented event occurring the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day. In 2019 we celebrated A Little Bit O’ Blarney Saturday, March 16th at 2pm. With perfect weather – sunny and in the 60s – thousands of attendees from across the metro helped us celebrate one of largest and best attended Brookside parades. The parade was led by our 2019 Grand Marshal, KSHB’s Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak and Sunny the Weather Dog (at her first parade).

Over 100 organizations and businesses from across Kansas City and the surrounding communities participated. Parade entries ranged from bagpipes and Irish Setters, Mr. Peanut and the peanut mobile to Sporting KC’s Blue the Dog, and calliopes to some of the City’s best dance and drill teams. We were also joined by local celebrities including Mayor Sly James and County Executive and former Royal, Frank White and a host of sitting elected officials in classic cars of all types.
