A diamond in the city for over 100 years, the historic Brookside shops have served the community since 1919. Hundreds of business owners have started their dreams in Brookside and served thousands of customers with a friendly smile and the kind of customer service only a neighbor can provide. Congratulations to Shop Beautiful for operating at 320 W. 63rd St since 1936. The business was founded by sisters Alice Devasher and Dorothy Gangware as a high-end gift and antiques boutique. Sarah Douglas and her sister/business partner, Abbey Fields, have owned the business together since the death of their mother, Ruthelma Martin, in 2005. Ruthelma had bought the business in 1967.
