The 2025 Parade Grand Marshal is none other than Steve Kraske, a well-respected figure in Kansas City journalism, public radio, and education. As the Executive Producer and Host of KCUR’s Up to Date talk show, as well as a Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), Steve has earned a reputation for his commitment to the community, thoughtful dialogue, and dedication to uncovering important issues and has regularly featured Brookside business experts and the history of Brookside. His role as Grand Marshal is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service. Congratulations, Steve!

Kickoff the Holiday Season in Brookside with the annual Holiday Season Opener event Thursday November 14th through Sunday, November 17th, 2024. We’re helping usher in the holiday season with pop-ups, specials, treats all weekend long and a special visit from Santa, cookies, hot chocolate, a tree lighting, live music and more to kick it all off on Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
