Join us for one of Kansas City’s favorite traditions: the 44th Annual Brookside St. Patrick’s Warm-Up Parade Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2 pm.
Get ready to paint the town green—and gold! The parade transform the historic Brookside Shops into a vibrant celebration of community, Brookside history, and the beautiful game.
This year’s theme, "Leprechaun Cup: Going for the Gold," is a special nod to Kansas City becoming "Soccer City" this summer. Whether you’re a lifelong neighborhood resident or a visiting fan, this parade is the perfect way to experience the local passion that makes our city a premier global soccer destination.
A Star-Studded Celebration
- Grand Marshal Graham Zusi: We are honored to be led by the legendary Graham Zusi—former Sporting KC star and decorated international player.
- Honorary Irish Betty Bremser: Our honorary business representative is the heart of Brookside, Betty Bremser, the longtime soul behind the iconic Foo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard.
- A Neighborhood Reunion: Featuring nearly 100 entries, the parade is a massive reunion for former residents, neighbors, school groups, and local businesses. From traditional bagpipes and Irish dancers to classic cars, drill teams, and dog clubs, there is something to wow attendees of all ages.
Whether participants are marching, dancing, or riding in vehicles ranging from red wagons and bikes to elaborate floats, the festive spirit is sure to be one-of-a-kind.

Tips for Parade Goers
To ensure you have the "luck of the Irish" on parade day, follow these quick tips:
- Arrive Early: Parking in the historic district fills up fast. Plan to arrive by 1 pm to find a spot and grab a coffee or a snack at the Brookside Shops. You'll also find plenty of on-street parking within a short walking distance in the surrounding neighborhoods.
- Plan A Meeting Spot: It’s easy to get separated at large events, so make plans for a meeting place in case you get separated.
- Perfect Weather: The forecast is calling for bright sunshine and a high in the 60s, making it a perfect day for the whole family.
- Cover Up: It’s supposed to be sunny with a high in the 60’s so be sure plan ahead and bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen and other protection.
- Hydrate: A reusable bottle with water to stay hydrated while enjoying the parade is also a great idea..
- Support Local: Make a day of it! Visit the local boutiques and grab a signature "concrete" at Foo’s to celebrate Betty’s legacy, or grab a bite, snacks or drinks at one of the many other Brookside restaurants. While here be sure to pick up costume favorites for the parade at Brookside Party Warehouse, or something special at one of the locally-owned boutiques in the Brookside Shops.
