We will light up Brookside to celebrate the holiday season on Thursday, December 1 at 6 p.m. with the annual tree lighting ceremony.
Everyone is invited to gather around the tree for light refreshments, drawings for gift certificates from Brookside businesses, music by The Holiday Trombones and St. Peter’s Children’s Choir, and enjoy the “stars of Brookside,” a collection of star ornaments provided by Border Star Montessori art classes.
Enjoy tours of Brookside led by The John Wornall House Museum staff from 5:30-6pm or 6:45-7:15pm, for a suggested donation of $5 to the museum.
The ceremony will take place at the south end of the parking area behind Bank Midwest and James Hallmark, at 63rd Street and Brookside Plaza. After the ceremony, many continue their holiday shopping at the many locally-owned stores in Brookside.
