The Brookside Shop’s annual Halloween tradition brings little witches, ghosts, goblins, pirates, princesses, and superheroes to the Brookside Shops on Halloween day to kick off a fun evening of trick-or-treating. Brookside’s annual Trick-or-Treat Street event draws thousands of kids from across the Kansas City metro and provides a great way to start your Halloween evening. So, stop by for a spell and enjoy a spooktacular, worry-free event as children collect treats from the many Bootiful Brookside merchants and our community partners.

*Trick-or-Treat Street is held in the historic Brookside shops between Wornall and Main from 62nd Terrace to Meyer Boulevard. This annual event is made possible by the many Brookside shops that hand out treats, a team of volunteers that help direct traffic at the crosswalks, and thanks to planning and funding by the Brookside Business Association and CID.
We hope you’ll make Trick-or-Treat Street part of your annual Halloween tradition. Just wear your favorite costume, bring your bag or pail and enjoy treats as you trick or treat from store to store. It’s our Treat! Happy Halloween!
The Brookside Shops: A Place to Grow Up
For generations of Kansas City kids, the Brookside Shops have been more than a place to shop, eat and find services—they’ve been part of growing up. For more than 100 years, kids have gathered here for after-school meetups, first dates, favorite treats, and everyday adventures.
